Battery Mission to Hauts-de-France Dunkirk
Exclusive Opportunity to Visit a Live Battery Giga-Factory
From April 1 – 3, 2025, the Batteries Event will take place in Dunkerque, France, at the heart of Battery Valley. As part of this event, BCC-NL, in collaboration with NBSO Lille, is organizing an exclusive mission to Hauts-de-France and Dunkirk, providing unique insights into the European battery industry.
This mission includes a rare opportunity to visit a fully operational battery giga-factory, the ACC factory, which produces batteries for Stellantis Group. Participants will gain firsthand experience of large-scale battery production, visit key industrial sites, and engage with industry experts driving the future of sustainable energy solutions.
Program Highlights
The mission, led by Peter Engels (Battery Competence Cluster-NL / RAI Automotive Industry NL) and Joris Houtman (NBSO Lille), provides an exclusive opportunity to explore major European battery and energy production facilities.
Exclusive Site Visits (Limited Availability)
Participants will have priority access to seven key industrial sites, each offering valuable insights into different aspects of the battery value chain:
- ACC & CRITTM2A – Battery cell production and testing
- ArcelorMittal & Port of Dunkirk – Sustainable metallurgy and material supply
- PSA BDP & Port of Dunkirk – Logistics excellence in the automotive industry
- Aluminium Dunkerque & Port of Dunkirk – Low-carbon aluminum production
- EDF Nuclear Power Plant & Future EPR – Energy production and infrastructure
- Ecosystème D – Industrial and maritime transformation initiatives
- Port of Dunkirk – Strategic infrastructure for energy and mobility
Costs & Registration
This mission is organized under the SMM program for France, allowing us to offer a special reduced participation fee of €250 per person (a 75% discount from standard costs) for members of RAI Automotive Industry NL and the Battery Competence Cluster - NL community.
