Growing Fast in Battery Technology — but Struggling with Technical Talent?

Companies active in battery technology, electrification and advanced manufacturing are growing faster than ever. Innovation is accelerating, demand is rising, and opportunities are abundant. At the same time, many organisations run into the same bottleneck: people. Technical specialists are difficult to find, experienced staff members are increasingly hard to retain, and growth ambitions are slowed down by limited capacity.

This challenge is not an exception — it is becoming the norm across the sector. If your organisation recognises this tension between ambition and available talent, you are not alone. More importantly, your experience is exactly what this initiative is built on.

Turning Real‑World Experience into Practical Solutions

Through BCC‑NL, we are working with a small group of companies to transform everyday staffing challenges into practical, usable solutions. The focus is on attracting technical talent, retaining and developing employees, and shaping HR approaches that genuinely fit fast‑growing, technology‑driven organisations.

This is not a traditional research or policy programme. There are no extensive reports or abstract frameworks detached from daily reality. Instead, the starting point is the real experience of companies that are building, scaling and innovating right now. Insights are converted into concrete tools and approaches that can be applied directly in practice.

Your Role in This Initiative

Participation starts in a simple and accessible way. The first step is a short conversation of approximately 30 to 45 minutes. In this conversation, we explore your day‑to‑day experience: what currently works in your organisation, where things get stuck, and what challenges most affect your growth and capacity.

Those who want to take their involvement further can join a learning community in which companies collaboratively develop, test and refine solutions. The level of participation is flexible and always aligned with your time, interests and priorities.

What Your Organisation Gains

By participating, you gain insight into how other companies in the sector are dealing with similar challenges. You get access to practical tools and results as they are developed, rather than waiting for finished concepts. This allows you to experiment early and apply new approaches directly within your own organisation.

Just as importantly, you help shape initiatives so they reflect the reality of fast‑moving technology companies, not theoretical models. The process is collaborative, but the benefits are concrete and directly relevant to your own growth ambitions.

Who This Initiative Is Meant For

This initiative is designed for entrepreneurs, managers and HR leaders working in battery technology, electrification or closely related sectors. It is particularly relevant for SMEs and scale‑ups that are actively growing and experiencing real staffing challenges that affect their operational capacity and strategic plans.

When This Is Not the Right Fit

If your organisation has no growth ambitions or if staffing challenges are currently not an issue, this initiative is unlikely to add value at this moment. The focus is on companies that are actively feeling the pressure of growth and want to address it in a practical way.

Start with a Conversation
