The National Battery Action Agenda is currently being recalibrated in close collaboration with the ministries of I&W (commissioning authority), EZK, KGG, and RVO. Due to rapid international developments, strategic dependencies, and new opportunities in the battery value chain, an update is necessary.

BCC-NL, as a public-private organization, plays an active role in this process. We connect start-ups, SMEs, industry, knowledge institutions, and regional partners into one national ecosystem. Through our thematic structures, innovation projects, and networking function, we build substantive direction, coherence across the value chain, and an environment where companies can develop and scale their innovations faster.

The renewed Action Agenda will represent our shared ambition for the coming years. By implementing it, we will seize new economic and technological opportunities. Furthermore, the agenda emphasizes that the Netherlands has a responsibility to actively contribute to a strong European value chain, which is essential for strategic autonomy and competitiveness in Europe.

Through the attached questionnaire, we invite start-ups, SMEs, industry, and knowledge institutions to share their insights. Throughout the entire process, we will involve the ecosystem through consultations, sessions, and thematic alignments.

Together, we strengthen the Dutch battery ecosystem—and our contribution to Europe—with a future-proof and competitive value chain.
